One Week: Munich

Oktoberfest in Munich has long been on my bucket list—especially the famous Rosa Wiesn (Gay Sunday). Often overlooked as a queer destination, Munich is actually one of Europe’s most LGBTQ-friendly cities, offering everything from lively beer tents and Pride celebrations to rich culture and welcoming nightlife.

Weekend: Madrid

Madrid is a vibrant, bustling city that fully embraces the art of eating, drinking, and living well. Spending a weekend in Madrid for my second visit, here are my tips for ways to embrace a city that knows how to charm visitors year-round.

3 Days: Porto

A weekend in Porto surprised me in all the best ways—affordable, walkable, and full of charm. Portugal’s second-largest city packs vibrant LGBTQ and mainstream nightlife, scenic views, and warm hospitality into a not-too-big package. It quickly became one of the most budget-friendly and enjoyable spots I’ve visited in Europe.

Ten Days: Norway

From exploring fjords and charming villages to indulging in Oslo’s incredible food scene, Norway delivered unforgettable moments. Our 10-day journey started in Bergen during the festive celebration of Syttende Mai and ended in Oslo and was filled with personal history, cultural insight, and breathtaking landscapes.
